Teams and Tickets

Sportsdate 7 – 28 – 2008

The Dallas Morning News had an interesting piece on the struggles of the Texas Rangers at the gate this year. The Rangers are winning but fewer fans are showing up to see them play than a year ago when they were losing. It would be easy to blame it on a soft economy and high gas prices, but overall attendence is up at major league baseball parks. So what gives in Arlington? Read the rest of this entry »

CBL, What The Hell?

Sportsdate 7 – 24 – 2008

I realize the Continental Baseball League is still taking baby steps. It is in it’s second year of competition, and in their very first year here in Texarkana. Still their decision to change their playoff format two thirds of the way through the season is a bit mind boggling. Read the rest of this entry »

Where’s Levi?

With the start of the toughest competition on earth just moments away, I thought I’d take advantage of the lull that is dominating the sports scene these days and speak my piece for those select few that care.  If you were prompted by my opening statement to prepare a mental list of what you consider to be the “toughest competitions”, then indulge me a few moments and feel free to opine below in the space provided.
